More Information

Working with artists and curators from Thailand and around the world, Warin Lab Contemporary seeks to engage visitors in a discussion about vital social issues on the day, hoping the art stimulates action.

Warin Lab Contemporary is housed in the 100 year-old former residence of Dr. Boonsong Lekagul (1907-1992), the legendary Thai wildlife conservationist who singled handedly launched the conservation movement in Thailand.

In addition to the exhibitions, Warin Lab Contemporary will promote a broader understanding of pressing issues and encourage positive change through its educational programming which include workshops, panel discussions and artist talks.

Warin Lab Contemporary founder, Sukontip Prahanpap, believes “We are living in a vulnerable world. Technology filters what information we see, often putting us on a dangerous path. My hope is that art can provide a wider understanding of the issue facing humanity and stimulate social change.”
