Sweet Pista Bangkok is located in Warehouse 30, a mixed-use compound that has brought exciting tenants to Bang Rak and help contribute to the energy of the riverside Creative District. The eatery was once a neighborhood fixture in Sukhumvit Soi 31. Through the years, Khun Donge and Khun Aey (resident chef and baker) built a reputation for serving some of Bangkok’s best dishes, both savory and sweet.
The owners’ homemade style lent itself to the homey atmosphere at the original location. Now, Sweet Pista Bangkok has transported all that next to the river, setting up a new dining destination that is just as warm as before. Walking in, one is immediately immersed in the coziness of the interior. Pastel colors and the balanced mix of concrete, wood, and metal frames elicit feelings of hygge and beckon one to stay longer.
The name of the eatery might lead one to believe that it is just a coffee and cake type of place, but the menu offers much more. Past diners have attested to the delicious savory meals one can partake at Sweet Pista Bangkok. The menu sections include “Finger Lickin’” for appetizers, greens in “Salad”, and mains in “My Rice Dish”, “Sandwich”, “My Pasta”, and the celebrated “Burgers”. The dishes are a mix of Thai and international cuisines. For desserts, one can simply pick from the decadent display of sweet treats near the counter. Waffles, cheesecakes, crème brûlées, and more are ready for post-meal finales.
