In heart of Bangkok's Creative District near the Chao Phraya River, Baan Somtum is located in a 100 year old house nestled in lush gardens, previously the residence of legendary Thai wildlife conservationist, Dr. Boonsong Lekagul (1907-1992).

The restaurant has three areas for eating. Upstairs is private dining in the original house. Downstairs, the open breezeway has been glassed in giving full view onto the courtyard of the small community mall at the front and onto the enclosed garden with large tree canopy and cooling stone wall and pond fountain.

The menu, which includes many Thai favorites in addition to its name-sake, is popular with Thais and foreigners alike. The friendly staff will check how spicy you’d like the dishes.

At Charoenkrung, Baan Somtum is nestled in the green courtyard of O.P. Garden located in the Creative District, shielded from the bustle of the city. The calming oasis lets you enjoy your meal in serenity.
