Princess Siribhachudabhorn graciously presided over the opening ceremony on Thursday 30th September 2019.
On Friday 31st May 2019, the panel of judging committee led by Emeritus Professor Kamchorn Soonpongsri had chosen the award winning pieces from 107 submitters with the total of 140 entries. The awards cover in three categories including Traditional Thai painting, Semi-Traditional Thai painting, and Contemporary painting. The winners are as follows;
The Traditional Thai Painting
Traditional Thai painting describes forms, creative processes, techniques, and content of Thai traditional images.
• First prize: Bualuang Gold Medal and cash prize of 200,000 Baht including a sponsorship for an International Field Trip. Attaining Complete Nirvana by Mr. Apisit Aengchuan
• Second prize: Bualuang Silver Medal and cash prize of 150,000 Baht Prammang Wisutthichutimitthipakapahithanung by Mr. Wirat Eakpatcha
• Third prize: Bualuang Bronze Medal and cash prize of 100,000 Baht
Building the Form of Faith by Mr. Ittirit Nunnasang
The Semi-Traditional Thai Painting
Semi-Traditional Thai painting adapts the essence of Thai art in terms of image and uniqueness to suit the current trend.
• Third prize: Bualuang Bronze Medal and cash prize of 100,000 Baht Awakening by Mr. Sukit Choosri
• Third prize: Bualuang Bronze Medal and cash prize of 100,000 Baht Mindfulness of Breathing (in and out) by Mr. Niroj Jarungjitvittawat
• Third prize: Bualuang Bronze Medal and cash prize of 100,000 Baht Painting of Local People’s Way of Life No.3 by Mr. Sakon Malee
The Contemporary Painting
Contemporary Thai painting expresses contents, formats, and creative processes freely.
• First prize: Bualuang Gold Medal and cash prize of 200,000 Baht including a sponsorship for an International Field Trip. Recognition From of Materialism by Mr. Chomrawee Suksom
• Second prize: Bualuang Silver Medal and cash prize of 150,000 Baht Life, Hope, Love 1867 by Miss Panchat Yodmanee

The 41st Bualuang Paintings Exhibition will be displayed from 30th September – 29th November 2019 at The Queen’s Gallery, Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, open daily from 10.00 AM. to 7.00 PM. (closed on Wednesday). Later on, the exhibition will expand for provincial interested viewers at Takorai Art Gallery, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Nakhon Ratchasima in December 2019.
