Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok invites guests to experience the newly crafted homemade sweet and savoury delicacies from the hotel’s renowned “Pretty Little Things” Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea, available at Lobby Lounge from 2 to 6 p.m. starting 1 October 2016.
With a prime location on the lobby level in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Chao Phraya River, Lobby Lounge offers the new afternoon tea, which highlights newly crafted savouries and desserts made fresh by the hotel’s executive pastry chef, Claus Olsen. Guests can indulge in a variety of his flavourful creation of premium savoury bites that include Rougie Foie Gras, Nova Scotia Lump King Crab on Pink Brioche, and Slow Smoked Chicken Breast and Avocado encaged in Black and White Sesame Brioche. Among the highlights are some of the signature sweets crafted with delicacy and passion, which include Studded Lemon Filled Trumpet High Heel, Chocolate Caramel Fleur de Sel, Double Crème Brûlée Tart, Hand Bag Lollipops, Vanilla Scone and Blackcurrant Scone and Sour Raspberry and Light Pistachio Cream.
Guests spending their relaxing afternoon at Lobby Lounge from 4 to 5:45 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, can indulge in live entertainment from Bangkok-based harpist, Miss Wang Tong-Juan of Beijing, who has been weaving her magic on the harp in Thailand for many years.
The “Pretty Little Things” Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea is priced at Bt1,198++ per set for a maximum of two persons and includes coffee or tea.
