Neilson Hays Library’s origin is rooted in a women-led initiative and was fully realized by a husband’s desire to memorialize his wife’s achievements.
Read moreThe book sale will be held inside the Neilson Hays Library garden café. Because of the limited space, the only books for sale at any point are the ones that are out in the café. We will replenish books daily as space opens up on the tables. So better to come in a few times whilst it is open rather than coming once and expecting to see everything. We also cannot go find ‘specific’ books or genres for anyone.
Locals, expats and tourists alike are invited to select from the selection of fiction and non-fiction books in English, plus a selection of other languages, donated by Neilson Hays Library supporters or withdrawn from the library shelves. The popular fundraiser offers books in all genres. Prices start at 20 baht, with a few rare books going at market value. We encourage visitors to bring their own bags in order to help us reduce waste, or Neilson Hays Library tote bags can be purchased from the cashier.
Only 10 people will be allowed inside the café at a time. Please click on the “More Information” button to learn about the safety measures.
If you have any unwanted books to contribute to the sale, please drop them off at the library between 9:30-17:00 Tuesday to Sunday. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of our landmark building and our educational and arts programs.
