ATT 19 is delighted to present emerging artist Prim Patnasiri in her first debut solo exhibition under the body of work “It’s always a changing stream of water before we meet the big blue sea”, a short film presented with an immersive art and sound installation.

“It’s always a changing stream of water before we meet the big blue sea”, conveys the renewing and rebuilding of Patnasiri’s identity, the uncovering of who she was to who she is today today. Patnasiri used her practice of art making as therapy to bridge the gap of communication between her and her family. The process of creating this short film becomes a visual journey of her personal reflection in an attempt to give the past a better understanding. By revealing her own memories and experiences for the collective, Patnasiri delves to unpack the taboo surrounding Mental Health in Asia and to promote open conversation of vulnerability and honesty. In the exhibition, the audience can find a place of nostalgia and safety in the installation while the ambience sound guides them to listen and engage with the space, allowing them to have their own journey.

Exhibition opening 14th October 6-9pm with Artist and Curator walk through from 5-6pm.

The exhibition will be on view open to public through November 1st with special programs and events with special guests appearances in partnership with The Nooks, Acorn and Associates and Sati. Please stay tuned for the announcements of the programs through our Instagram (@att19.bkk). Program will be in both Thai and English.
