Fashtag is a thesis exhibition by the fashion and art students of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, (Pranakorntai). Inspired by the concepts of DNA, genetic modification, and cloning, the students will present one-of-a-kind works that embody unique and futuristic looks. Similarly to how nucleotides are used to form new DNA strands and therefore new beings, old textiles and traditional Thai aesthetics will be modified, cut, dyed, re-used, and re-designed with new ideas and techniques to create innovative and original designs. This is where art and technology collide and where the old meets the new. This is an exhibition not to be missed!
Running from 27 Oct – 4 Nov, 2018 at RCB Artery, 1st floor; on the opening day, 27 Oct, there will be a live fashion show to showcase the stunning fashion pieces.
