Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is delighted to welcome Chef Diego Oka, who is offering an exciting Peruvian culinary experience at Lord Jim’s from 23rd until 26th June 2016.
Chef Oka was born and raised in Lima, Peru, one of the world’s most eclectic culinary destinations. Blending personal experiences and a background of Japanese descent into his cuisine, Oka draws on influences ranging from his grandmother’s cooking to the upscale novo-Andean and Asian-Peruvian fare.
Peruvian cuisine is in vogue across the world and features a diverse range of flavours, with a strong Japanese influence. Considered a protégé of international restaurateur, Gaston Acurio, and an ambassador of Peruvian cuisine, Oka’s signature dishes will showcase a heavy use of spices, including one of Peru’s delicacies ‘Ají’ or hot chilli peppers, as well as a variety of seafood.
Guests will have an opportunity to delight in Chef Oka’s signature dishes at the legendary Lord Jim’s for a scrumptious lunch buffet and a la carte dinner on 23, 24 and 25 June as well as Sunday brunch on 26 June 2016.
