In the era of mass production, perfection and instant gratification, there are those who are working against the tides to preserve and sustain their craft. Craftswomanship takes a look at 5 women and their works in celebration of craft in a variety of forms and industries.
In order to truly appreciate an end product in its glory, one must understand how it was created. The exhibition invites the audience to slow down, observe and study the process of thinking, making and creating. It also aims to subvert the age-old stigma of craft as something learnt and used by women as a time passer and skill to better womanhood through elevating the value of making and showcasing modern possibilities.
As part of the exhibition, ATT 19 and Vogue Thailand are also offering opportunities to join a series of workshops throughout the exhibition duration. These workshops are announced every weekend.
