At Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok we celebrate Loy Krathong in truly memorable fashion with traditional dance shows, mouth-watering dishes, a spectacular firework display over the Chao Phraya River and each guest will be given their own Krathong to float down the River of Kings.
RIVERSIDE TERRACE
With an idyllic setting on the banks of Chao Phraya River, our Riverside Terrace offers alfresco dining with beautiful international buffet offering magnificent Western, Asian and Thai favourites such as Cured salmon with lemongrass and kaffir lime served with chili jam mayonnaise, Northern-style Hang Lay Curry Yellow, curry with organic chicken and young jackfruit, Whole-roasted pig with condiments, Char-grilled blue rive prawns with chilli-lime dipping, Char-grilled lamb chops with mint sauce, Char-grilled skewered Garcinia wood Chicken with herbs and much more. While enjoying fine cuisine, guests will be entertained by Thai dance performance, a beautiful procession and a ‘Krathong’ contest, and Miss Noppamas contest. LE NORMANDIE
Celebrate this special festival at two Michelin-starred Le Normandie. Chef Arnaud Dunand-Sauthier will present a 7-course dinner offering genuine and unique experience of French haute cuisine.
Highlights include Crab from Brittany, turnip and fish soup, Line-caught Turbot, pumpkin with white truffle, and Game pie, celeriac and red current. Admire the firework display from this top-floor restaurant before receiving good luck for the year as you float your Krathong along the river.

KINU BY TAKAGI
Chef Masakazu Kudo will create a 10-course menu Kaiseki-style dinner with a welcome drink served in a Japanese-styled Minka area, before diners are led to the counter where the real theatre begins as they witness the chef, a true master, at work. The experience is completed with a tea ceremony, while guests may also choose to enjoy one of Bangkok’s finest sake collections. After dinner you can float your own Krathong on the river while fireworks light up the sky.

The tradition of Loy Krathong meets the vibrant and sophisticated ambience of Lord Jim’s. Enjoy a 7-course dinner created by Lord Jim’s resident Chef Nick Gannaway. Highlights include Fresh Gillardeau oyster with roast pineapple salsa, Crispy skin “Ora King Salmon”, Caramelised foie gras, muscavado glazed mango and chilli, lime, and Roast Muscovy duck breast, crispy pastia of confit leg meat, beetroot, fresh raspberries.
