RCB Film Club and Documentary Club present "Beyond the Lens."

This month’s Beyond the Lens is an intriguing series that will focus on the theme of photography.

The four films this month come from all over the world. From Germany/Czech Republic is “Koudelka: Shooting Holy Land,” a film directed by Gillad Baram and follows the story of Czech photographer Josef Koudelka around Isreal and Palestine for the perfect photograph. From France is “Face Places,” by director Agnes Varda and JR, who are artists from different fields, documenting their collaboration and journey through rural France. From the USA is “Harry Benson: Shoot First,” by Justin Bare and Matthew Miele, a film that follows Harry Benson, a photographer who has worked with The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Winston Churchill, and the Kennedy’s. From the Netherlands is “The New Rijksmusuem,” by Dutch director Oeke Hoogendijk. This documentary takes the viewer through the mesmerizing process of rebuilding Holland’s most famous museum, The Rijksmuseum.

Taking place in the newly launched RCB Forum, each Tuesday, you’ll have the opportunity to see two films each day, one at 5:30PM and one at 7PM. Please see the movies and times for each day. All films are 120THB. The discussion on July 3rd is free.

The opening night on July 3rd will also include a discussion 5PM, followed by the showing of “Koudelka: Shooting Holy Land,” at 7PM.
