Art as function. Food on form. It’s what you find at P.Tendercool located within the Creative District. Their tables are one-of-a-kind and remastered from antiques, be they Ming dynasty floorboards or planks from ancient Chinese junks.
Each table is unique and has a story to tell. From the origins of its materials to the moment master creators came together (sometimes up to 100 artisans!) to build the piece. Notice the bronze or eco-friendly hardwood with all sorts of legs? It is fittings infused with history. But the story doesn’t have to end there. It can continue with you.
P.Tendercool lives by one simple rule: Only make bespoke furniture that they want to use for themselves. Pieter Compernol and Stephanie Grusenmeyer, founders and design directors of P.Tendercool, themselves are experts in the art of ‘French polishing’ and antique restoration. This ensures every piece is beautifully functional and made to last generations. Their furniture are truly a sight. Their consultative style provides a client service level that will ensure that you go home with a piece that you truly want. Shop up or browse through – it’s also a gallery.
